My hubby and I are trying for our first and have been doing the ‘baby dance’. Last week we did the baby dance again and I started my period the following day. 2 days later my period completely stopped. I can’t say I feel morning sickness or any other signs, yet. I know it is to soon to use a home pregnancy test but if I go to my doctor will the pregnancy test there show I’m pregnant or can they check my horomones some how? Thanks! Please note that I am not a regular smoker. I have the occasional smoke while drinking but that’s about it. I haven’t had a smoke or a drink on over a month. Recently though, I’ve been under alot of stress due to work and all I wanna do is sit outside in my balcony and have just one cigarette. Problem is my husband and I are trying to conceive and I will be ovulating this weekend, so of course we are going to try. Will my ONE cigarette affect my chances of getting pregnant a great deal?

I bought some cheap pregnancy tests from ebay. If you have used them, can you share your experience about how good they are? How soon do they show a pregnancy? Today is 11dpo for me and they showed a big fat negative, so I am just wondering whether I should still hope.

I am wondering this because I recently had what I thought was a period (It has been almost a year since I’d had one) but it only lasted a day and my friend pointed out that since it only lasted a day I might have just been spotting and then she said oh! you might be pregnant! lol I don’t think I am but that is besides the point, I am curious if spotting during pregnancy would be temporary or last throughout the entire pregnancy….any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
