My grandmother and a cousin both developed severe rheumatic autoimmune diseases after pregnancy, when being previously fine before pregnancy. I have not been able to find any additional evidence of pregnancy causing an autoimmune disease to develop, but am wondering if anyone knows of a link between the two, either clinical or anecdotal.
I realize that pregnancy has effects on women who already have autoimmune diseases, but am trying to weigh the risks of developing an illness from being pregnant. Any additional information would be very helpful. Thank you!

My last pregnancy was an ectopic and it was treated with methotrexate by one injection and was told not to try to concieve till after 6 monthes. But have heard others trying right away, like within a month. We are anxious to try again but, scared that if we start trying again of running the risk of another loss, or even birth defects. Any advice?

I had unprotected *** and took the morning after pill the next day, and a week later have my period. I have read that the morning after pill can induce either a late or early period so I hope this is why. But also I know you can be pregnant and still get a period. Do you think I need to take a pregnancy test or I am being overly paranoid?

I know women do not usually deploy during pregnancy and they get approximately six weeks of convalescent leave after giving birth, but do they deploy after six weeks or do they stay on shore and work on shore for some time? It is almost impossible for me to believe that the Navy would leave a 2-month old child without its mother for up to 6 months.
