Tests are best taken during your first *** of the morning (hormones are the strongest). I think you know that though since you mentioned it. lol. Sometimes you don't get a BFP just because your body doesn't have the amount of hormones others do. If you still haven't seen AF after a week, and are still getting a BFN, go get a blood test done. They can detect the hormones better but most docs won't do them unless it's been a week. What confuses me is that your spotting was 7 days long. That doesn't sound like implantation bleeding. After a week if you still don't have a positive or your period go talk to your doctor. I don't think that 7 day spotting could have possibly been pregnancy related because you were ovulating then.
