How long does the pregnancy hormone last in a woman after giving birth?

GlitterSno75 asked:

I gave birth in August and just yesterday I took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. Is it picking up my last pregnancy?

6 weeks is how long you can get a positive pregnancy test. After your hormones start to go back to normal. Keep taking your prenatal vitamins to help and save your self from loses like calcium and hair lose.

most likely not, you are pregnant. The levels of pregnancy hormones leave your body right after giving birth, it takes a total of 6 weeks. If you are ****** feeding the chances are still low, the hormones needed to maintain a pregnancy and create milk are separate. To be super sure get a blood pregnancy test, getting pregnant right after having a baby is close to a sure thing….good luck
