It would likely me mishappen and run through with stretchmarks after a precnancy.
Sorry, but the truth is best.

How in the heck would ink poison an unborn baby? The ink is in the MOTHERS SKIN NOT HER BLOODSTREAM!! At 16 you may be hard pressed to find a shop that will ink you since you are a minor. Some reputable shops will refuse even with parental consent. I have one on my hip and it didn't stretch at all during my two pregnancies. It also depends on how elastic your skin is. I know someone who had a tattoo around her belly button got pregnant and it looked just fine after. Some skin rebounds great after a baby and some don't.

First, make sure you are old enough to be allowed to get a tattoo legally in your state. From a practical standpoint, a tattoo on the back or side of your hip will stretch less than one that is more on the belly, but you can expect any of them to stretch some and possibly not go back to normal. Also, make sure that the you know what chemicals are in the ink you are getting and research them online for safety and carcinogenicity before getting that tattoo. The last thing you need is an ink with a toxic chemical in it, especially when you get pregnant.

I have one on my hip and am really not too worried about it.
Sure it may look like a balloon when i'm pregnant, but i'd put cocoa butter or vitamin E on it every day.
also, if it does ruin it, who cares? I might not even get back into shape after giving birth, so what are the chances of me showing my stomach off?

If you get a mouse tattoo then it will look like an old sagging rat after your pregnancy! Pick a different spot when you are 18 and old enough to get a tattoo.

It may stretch a bit during the pregnancy, but it should go back to normal after having the baby/s. The only thing I would worry about is stretch marks in it, but that could technically happen anywhere between your boobs and your knees when you are pregnant, so...hope for the best.

pregnancy stretches your skin and if its on your hip then it will most likely stretch. you might want to wait it out until you have kids and get the tat on your neck or back or arm.
