I got out of the service (Air Force...my enlistment time was up anyway and my hubby was higher rank than me by 1 stripe) and stayed home. Now, almost 10 yrs later, I'm a sahm to 2 boys. There are wating lists most of the time though. But I am from Raleigh!!! The YMCA off of New Falls of the Neuse (beside the Wakefield schools) is GREAT! Best Y I have ever seen. They take all ages, have a wonderful staff, there is a waiting list to be a summer counseler, and my sister sends all three of her kids there. There is also a daycare across from Prescott (my old neighborhood) that seems smaller and nice. Best of luck! I wish I still lived there! It depends on when you plan on going back to work…. I've managed to still makes things work with care for my baby, but if you want to use daycare and you want a good one, you better get on a waiting list ASAP!
