I am 35 and am thinking of getting pregnant, but I heard pregnancy after 35 is risky-is it risky for mother or baby.I am worried.I love twins but I dont have any twins in the family.I have heard pregnancy after 5 have higher chances of conceiving twins. Is that true?

Higher risk of birth defects or a complicated pregnancy. Talk with your Ob/Gyn. He/She should be able to evaluate your age and health, and let you know if pregnancy is a good idea or not! But most likely (unless you have other health problems) you should be just fine.
It is risky because you’re older, your body is older and your body parts aren’t as well help together as someone in their 20s might be.
After 35 there is a definite increase in possibilities of having twins because your body might produce more eggs because of hormone changes with nearing menopause age. After 35 you risk of having a baby with down syndrome is also increased. That is something else you may want to look in to.
I just turned 38 and have been remarried for 5 years now. I have two children from my first marriage, both were born when I was in my mid-20’s. I know the risks for certain birth defects are increased now that I’m older, but my husband and I plan to start TTC later this year. We are both in good health but have decided that if we are not successful within 6 months-one year, we will stop. I really don’t want to get pregnant at 40! My OB told us that twins are more common in older mothers and they run in my my hubby’s family too.
Best of luck to you and **baby dust**!
