Can Voltaren be harmful if trying to conceive? Is it safe to take while trying to conceive?

Can Voltaren be harmful if trying to conceive? Is it safe to take while trying to conceive? Can it delay ovulation
I am taking Voltaren (generic diclofenac) for low back pain associated with sciatica and bulging disc. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 1 year and I wanted to know if the drug may hinder the process. Thanks in advance to all answers!

You should be fine taking diclofenac while trying to conceive. It’s just an anti-inflamatory… similar to ibuprofen, but works a little differently. The main thing is that if you start to have symptoms of pregnancy, switch over to tylenol until you talk to your doctor or pharmacist. From what I understand, you’re usually told not to take very much advil or ibuprofen when pregnant. It’s not a huge risk to my knowledge, but it can potentially cause problems. I think it has to do with its reactions with your blood. When in doubt, do without. :) Good luck trying!
